What we mean
There is a word in our name that makes software engineers wince. Good. That reaction is the point. We are not here to modernize old systems, migrate databases, or patch the accumulated shortcuts of a first venture. We are here for the opposite of that: to help people who have already learned the cost of building fast build something slow and careful instead. The craft that compounds. The architecture that does not need to be explained to the next engineer who inherits it. Legacy, in our usage, means something you made deliberately. Something worth inheriting.
