FOR THE LONG ARC

Build what outlasts the engagement.

Not the legacy code kind. The other kind — the work that keeps running after the contract ends, after the team changes, after you move on to the next chapter.

Every architecture you build will eventually outlive your attention. We design for that moment.

What we mean

There is a word in our name that makes software engineers wince. Good. That reaction is the point. We are not here to modernize old systems, migrate databases, or patch the accumulated shortcuts of a first venture. We are here for the opposite of that: to help people who have already learned the cost of building fast build something slow and careful instead. The craft that compounds. The architecture that does not need to be explained to the next engineer who inherits it. Legacy, in our usage, means something you made deliberately. Something worth inheriting.

What it costs

Building for the long arc carries a discipline that most engagements refuse to name. It costs time — a minimum of six months, because durable architecture cannot be pressured into shape in ninety days. And it costs attention: we take on a small number of projects at a time, and every one of them gets the same careful thought. This is not a premium tier. This is the cost of doing the work correctly. If you are looking for a fast prototype, we are not the right studio. If you are building something you expect to outlast you, we are.

What we refuse

We will not build a minimum viable product on a six-week deadline. We will not dress up an off-the-shelf solution in a client’s brand and call it craft. We will not use “AI-powered” as a feature or a selling point. We will not take projects where the founder’s stated goal is the next funding round. We will not begin an engagement without understanding what the work is supposed to look like in five years. What we will do is stay. We offer a post-engagement subscription for a reason — not upsell, but continuity. The work does not end when the contract does.

From hourly to royalty

You are the expert. We convert your consulting practice into publishable, scalable intellectual property — canvases, tools, curricula — that carry your authorship.

Begin

How we work

Listen

We start by understanding the work as you understand it — not as we would build it. Interviews, documentation review, prior-venture autopsy if relevant.

Map

We chart the architecture: what exists, what is borrowed, what is invented, what will outlast the engagement.

Compose

We build. Not fast — carefully. Each component is designed for the engineer who comes after us.

Deliver durable

We hand over a system that does not require us. Documentation, tests, an explicit ownership model. Then we offer to stay.

TRUST

What you take with you.

Authorship & ownership

Spec is markdown in your repo. From day one. Every commit is yours.

Security through architecture

Studio's bot writes PRs in your repo — your team merges. Specialists never receive prod access.

Portability by default

Close the engagement. Take the spec. It still works.

If this is the kind of work you want to do, we should talk.

We take a small number of projects at a time. An introduction costs nothing except the hour.
