What this is

OpenSpec is the studio's full working corpus: every capability spec, every change proposal, every archived design decision, and the foundational methodology documents that govern how we work. It lives in the repository alongside the code and evolves in lockstep with every shipped change.

The corpus is published so clients, partners, and collaborators can read how the studio thinks and works — without asking for a briefing. Everything is in there.

It is also the control surface for AI agents. The flat-context archive below is structured to drop directly into a Claude project as context, giving the agent the full spec corpus before you type a single message.

How to use it

As AI project context. Download the flat zip below and drag it into a Claude project. The entire corpus lands as a single context block — the agent reads it before your first message.

As a readable corpus. Browse the repository on GitHub. The directory structure mirrors the spec hierarchy: current/ for live specs, changes/ for in-flight proposals, archive/ for applied decisions, and _methodology/ for the foundational layer.
